Holy Week 2025

Holy Week is the most important week for Christians, as we celebrate and participate in the saving events of our salvation - namely, the suffering, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please make an effort to be there, all welcome and we would be delighted to see you. Sundays and Maundy Thursday, the Liturgy of Good Friday and Easter are Holy Days of Obligation.

 

PALM SUNDAY (13th April)

08:00 Low Mass of Palm Sunday (with blessing of Palms)

11:00 SOLEMN MASS with Blessing of Palms and Procession

(starting at Church Hall)

 

MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY (14th, 15th, 16th April)

19:00 Low Mass with Address 

(Mon: Judas, the Traitor; Tue: Peter, the Denier; Wed: John, the Beloved)

Fr Luke available for confessions from 18:30.

MAUNDY THURSDAY (17th April)

20:00 SOLEMN MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER

with the washing of feet, stripping of the altars,
and followed by watch until Midnight.

 

GOOD FRIDAY (18th April)

10:30 Children’s Stations of the Cross

followed by hot cross buns.

20:00 SOLEMN LITURGY OF THE LORD’S PASSION

with the washing of feet, stripping of the altars,
and followed by watch until Midnight.

 

HOLY SATURDAY (19th April)

20:00 SOLEMN EASTER VIGIL AND FIRST MASS OF EASTER

with renewal of Baptismal Vows; greatest celebration of the Christian year, followed by drinks.

EASTER SUNDAY (20th April)

08:00 Low Mass of Easter Day with the renewal of baptism vows.
11:00 SOLEMN MASS of Easter Day with renewal of baptism vows.
